This qualifies as one of the 72 “Greatest” Moments in NBA History

Daryl Hall & John Oates commanded a flotilla of hits between 1976 and 1988. The numbers don’t lie.

  • 29 Billboard top 40 pop singles

  • 16 Billboard top 10 pop singles

  • Six Billboard #1s

From “Sara Smile” to “I Can’t Go For That” to “Out of Touch”, the duo had an ear for crafting catchy songs. The majority of their hits were more on the dance side of things. Not totally, but a majority. I’d peg only four of their 16 top 10 singles as ballads. Here, I’ll present them to you below…

Their first hit, the aforementioned “Sara Smile,” released in 1976.
