Growing up, my older brother cracked himself up making jokes about Maurice White. White was the lead singer, drummer, writer, composer, and overall bandleader of Earth, Wind & Fire.
Now, my brother didn’t know White’s name at the time, neither did I. But whenever the music video of “Let’s Groove” came on, he would invariably make some comment about White’s hair, calling it a “halfro”.
Well, my brother was right. Maurice White did have half an afro.
