This qualifies as one of the 72 “Greatest” Moments in NBA History

Over the last two godawful years, I have managed to stay alive during the COVID pandemic. Just like you, dear reader. We’ve kept on truckin’, baby.

But in these two years, boy have I binged some television to pass the time, including the absolutely silly Cobra Kai. The show over its three seasons has gotten increasongly absurd and every year brings back another forgotten character from the Karate Kid movies.

Its fourth season debuts today on Netflix and I will likely be binging it too. Help me.

Something Cobra Kai has in common with the 2021-22 NBA season is a hint (heaping helping?) of the absurd. As Cobra kai digs deeper into the “mythos” of Karate Kid by dredging up old characters, the NBA has brought back from the depths Mario Chalmers, Greg Monroe, and other oldies but goodies.
